Regarding formaldehyde: we certainly appreciate your concerns re: the chemical content in our products. QOD keratin formulas do contain components that share a molecular resemblance to formaldehyde. Technically speaking, when the formulas are subjected to intensive chemical analysis, they show as either formaldehyde free or registers a false-positive of less than .2 percent. We do not, however, claim our products to be “formaldehyde-free,” because stylists need to be mindful of their potency regardless of their particular chemical formulations.

These formulations – the specific chemicals and their exact percentages – are classified as a trade secret, and we do not divulge product information to this level of detail.
